Vanesa is a certified yoga and breathwork instructor who is has given birth to this retreat after her transformative and healing journey with plant medicines. Her dream and vision to offer the space of healing and transformation in an a safe and authentic way became reality with AWAKEN Retreats.

During the retreat she will be leading you into different yoga practices and a transformative rebirth breathwork session. Furthermore she will be your contact person for all questions you may have.
She is beyond excited to be able to offer you the opportunity to experience these healing modalities to help you awaken to your inner light and reclaim your inner being.
David Lopez Leon
Organization, Spiritual guide and Medicine man
David grew up in Mexico City but has travelled the world in the past 8 years. That's when he started his journey to become the healer and guide he is today.
His focus is in energy healing and meta programming. He has also great experience in working with sacred plant medicines.
The last 4 years David dived deep into the practices and knowledge of the indigenous tribe Huni Kuin for who he became a bridge to connect their cosmo vision with the outside world by organizing sacred cremes and intercultural gatherings and events in different parts of the world.

With his expertise he is a crucial person in the organization of this retreat.
During the retreat he will be your guide concerning all questions you may have concerning any plant medicine ceremony.
Sabino Dua Ixã
Casique & Paje Huni Kuin
Sabino Dua Ixã is an elder, cacique, (political leader), paje (highest shaman) and master of the Songs, of the Huni Meka (Cantos do Cipó) and Shaneibu (leadership) of the Huni Kuin people.
He is the founder of the Village Novo Segredo, one of the last Huni Kuin villages, almost on the border with Peru.
He is a spiritual leaders in his Village and his mission is to share the Huni Kuin cosmo-vision to the world to bring healing and transformation.
It is a great honor to have him leading our spiritual work and share all his wisdom and ancestral knowledge.

Bunke Inani
Txana and Spiritual Female Leader Huni Kuin
Bunke Inani is one of the female leaders of Aldeia Boa Vista, located on the banks of the Jordão River, Kaxinawá Indigenous Land in the state of Acre. With her strength, determination and organizational capacity, she has been conquering several spaces that were once exclusively male and thus
she has revolutionized the role of women not only in her village, but also becoming a forerunner of women's empowerment movements in other communities.
A master artisan and weaver, mother of five children, Bunke coordinates the village's young women in the art of weaving and beads, as well as in the practice of traditional chants and the study of medicinal plants and chants
Txaia Uma
Txaia
Txaia Uma is the niece of Bunke Inani.

She is a "Txaia", which is a female "Txana", a messenger who transmits the traditions of her culture through their ancestral prayers and chants.
Her message is to empower the sacred and divine feminine trough strength, firmness and joy.
​
She will be accompanying all the spiritual work with her strength and firmness through her songs and chants..
Aiyana & Uttama
Earth Medicine, Sound Alchemy and Medicine Musicians
Aiyana and Uttama are known as IANAWA which is a medicine music project form all around the world. They embody sounds of the Earth with diverse instruments and take us therewith on a colorful patterned sound journey.
Their Mexican-Colombian and Lithuanian origins bring diverse flavors to their music with with they allow us to re-connect with our inner medicine. They have a great experience in leading several plant medicine ceremonies and rituals in different parts of the world.
During our retreat they will be leading a beautiful cacao ceremony, a traditional Temazcal and enrich our experience with their healings music.
